What Maya Solar is

Maya Solar is an independent, editorial guide to solar panels for UK homeowners. We are not a solar panel installer, manufacturer, or MCS-certified contractor. Where you request a free quote through our site, we introduce you to third-party MCS-certified installers who carry out the survey, quote and any installation work.

No advice, no guarantee

The information on this site — including cost ranges, grant eligibility and Smart Export Guarantee rates — is general guidance, written and reviewed carefully but not a personalised recommendation. Figures are typical UK averages and year-pinned where possible; your actual costs, savings and eligibility depend on your specific property and circumstances, confirmed by a proper survey.

Installer introductions

When you submit the free-quote form, we pass your details to one or more MCS-certified installers so they can contact you to arrange a survey. Maya Solar is not a party to any contract you enter into with an installer, and we are not responsible for the quality, pricing, or outcome of any installation work.

How we're funded

Maya Solar may receive a fee from installers for a quote introduction. This never affects the price you're quoted and never influences which installer is MCS-certified — that's an independent, government-backed standard we don't control.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse this site — for example, by submitting false information through our forms, attempting to disrupt the site, or scraping content without permission.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Maya Solar is not liable for losses arising from your use of this site or from your dealings with any installer we introduce you to. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
